Small Parts, Big Impact: Soccer Accessories & Parts Every Field Needs

Soccer Accessories & Parts consist of small hardware parts which keep full-size soccer equipment operational, such as net clips, ground anchors, corner flags, and all sizes of goal replacement hardware.

A Pre-Season Maintenance Checklist

• Before each season commences, make an inspection round on your fields to determine if there is any need for repairs on the net clips or net sags at the corners.
• Also, make sure that the ground anchors firmly secure the goals when there are strong winds, the corner flags are erect and intact, and that the goal hardware is not rusty, damaged, or missing bolts.

Failure to do this could lead you to find issues during games when the situation is more frantic.

Why Small Parts Get Overlooked

Budgets of the facility often favor spending on large and obvious equipment such as new soccer balls or nets over small and unobvious equipment that is included in the list. Soccer Accessories & Parts are never granted their separate line of budgeting, despite the fact that without an anchor, the whole soccer goal becomes unstable and dangerous when playing around the box.

A Quick Cost Comparison

It would cost several thousand dollars to replace an entire goal in soccer, but to replace a damaged anchor kit or clip set, you would only have to pay a very small part of that amount. Anyone looking for “Sport equipment” on the Internet for facility maintenance needs to view accessories and replacement parts as a regular purchase.

Keeping a Spare Parts Inventory On Hand

Aside from the pre-season inspection, savvy facility managers always have a small inventory of typical accessories on their shelves at all times and waiting to be replaced immediately upon a failure.

An extra net clip or anchor bolt may not cost much in storage but can make the difference between playing and not playing during an entire day because of its failure. This practice is one that works out in favor of facility managers much more often than they ever imagine.
